The Richland ACT Program is a rigorous educational path to the classroom. It is fast-paced,
intensive, and requires that you be a self-starter, a problem-solver, and self-motivated.
It is important that you consider the reponsibilities that come with full-participation and
mandatory attendance, as this will have an impact on your personal life. You need to be
willing to plan accordingly as to how you will balance demands of the ACT program,
teaching, and your personal life.
Note: To apply to the alternative teacher certification program you must have a bachelor’s degree and attend one information session or view the online information session.
