I believe that people have the right to a good life; a life filled with fun, joy, laughter, happiness, and satisfaction. However, with that right comes the tremendous responsibility to determine for themselves how to attain all that is possible in their lives.

As a result, when students and community members come to me for career advising, I make it very clear that I will not be making any decisions for them nor will the assessments they complete. They must understand this and choose to take ownership of their career/life decisions. I demand the HONEST assessment of their skills, interests, values, and personality traits in order to see how they best fit into the world of work.
