ARTC 1302 Digital Imaging I Uses Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Image Ready to create and edit digital images for use in Multimedia web design and digital art.
Prerequisite: None.
Former course prefix/number PHTC 1349.


ARTC 1317 Design Communication I Uses Macromedia Dreamweaver and Macromedia Fireworks to design creative web sites.
Suggested Prerequisite: IMED 1316.


ARTC 1353 Computer Illustration Uses Adobe Illustrator to create vector artwork.
Suggested Prerequisite: ARTC 1302.

ARTC 2305 Digital Imaging II Emphasizes creating a portfolio of Digital Images for use in Multimedia, Video, Web and Print output. Adobe Photoshop is the primary tool used.
Prerequisite: ARTC 1302.

ARTC 2345 Advanced 3-D Modeling and Rendering Uses 3DS Max to create and render 3D models. Some animation is included.
Prerequisite: ARTC 1345 or ARTV 1345.

ARTV 1303 Basic Animation Focuses on animation and interface design using Macromedia Flash.
Suggested Prerequisite: IMED 1301.
Former course prefix/number ARTC 1301 Basic Animation and IMED 1341 2D Interface Design.

ARTV 1341 3-D Animation I Uses 3DS Max.

ARTV 1345 3-D Modeling and Rendering Uses 3DS Max to create and render 3D models. Some animation is included.
Suggested Prerequisite: IMED 1301.

ARTV 1351 Digital Video Teaches students how to script, shoot, and edit videos. The software used is Premiere Pro and/or Avid Xpress Pro.
Prerequisite: None.

ARTV 2337 Advanced Technical Animation and Rendering Uses 3DS Max.
Former course prefix/number ARTC 2341 3-D Animation II.

ARTV 2341 Advanced Digital Video Will use Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro or Avid Xpress Pro to create video that includes special effects.
Prerequisite: ARTV 1351 or IMED 1351.
Former course prefix/number IMED 2341.

GAME 1303 Introduction to Game Design and Development Prerequisite: None.

GAME 1304 Level Design Prerequisite: GAME 1303 or Instructor's approval. Students will have hands on experience with Unreal Tournament Game Engine with its native editing system, texture and create asset files and static mesh design.

IMED 1191 Sp Topics in Edu/Institutional Media Technology/Technician Will change topics to reflect current occupational and business and industry trends.

IMED 1291 Sp Topics in Edu/Institutional Media Technology/Technician Will change topics to reflect current occupational and business and industry trends.

IMED 1301 Introduction to Multimedia Uses Adobe Photoshop, Sound Forge, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Premiere, Powerpoint, and HTML to introduce basic Multimedia skills.
Prerequisite: None.

IMED 1305 Multimedia Courseware Development I Focuses on developing e-learning applications using Macromedia Flash.
Former course prefix/number MULT 1373.

IMED 1316 Web Page Design I Is a basic introduction to web design using HTML and Dreamweaver. Topics include: lists, tables, frames, forms and accessibility. (Online sections do not include Dreamweaver.)
Recommended Corequisites: IMED 1301 and ARTC 1302.

IMED 1341 2-D Interface Design

IMED 1345 Interactive Multimedia I Covers basic actionscript for Macromedia Flash. Topics include using functions, variables, and arrays to create interactive web sites and multimedia DVD and CD-ROMs.
Prerequisite: ARTV 1303 or ARTC 1301.

IMED 1391 Special Topics in Educational/Instructional Media Design Will change topics to reflect current occupational and business and industry trends.

IMED 2305 Multimedia Courseware Development II Uses Macromedia Flash and action script to develop e-learning simulations.
Prerequisite: ARTV 1303 or ARTC 1301 or IMED 1305.

IMED 2311 Portfolio Development Is the capstone class for the Level II certificate and the Multimedia Web Design AAS degree.
Prerequisite: IMED 1301, ARTC 1302, and IMED 1316.
Former course prefix/number MULT 1380.

IMED 2313 Project Analysis and Design Will require students to work in teams to develop real world projects.
Prerequisite: Completion of the multimedia core and specialization.

IMED 2315 Web Page Design II Will cover concepts that include navigation, Cascading Style Sheets, XHTML, Javascript and client-side scripting.
Prerequisite: IMED 1316 or IMED 1416.

IMED 2345 Interactive Multimedia II Is the Advanced Actionscripting course. Concepts may include Game Design, e-commerce, and e-learning.
Prerequisite: IMED 1345.

IMED 2349 Internet Communications Prerequisite: IMED 2315.

IMED 2351 Multimedia Programming Integrates the use of Cold Fusion to create data-base driven multimedia web sites.
Suggested Prerequisite: IMED 1316 or ITSC 1413.

IMED 2388 Internship-Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia Prerequisite: Completion of the multimedia core and specialization or completion of two semesters of multimedia courses. Students must have written permission from the Multimedia department to enroll.

IMED 2409 Internet Commerce Will use a multimedia approach to create dynamic e-commerce sites.
Prerequisite: None.

INEW 2334 Advanced Web Page Programming Is the Advanced Javascript course.
Prerequisite: Intermediate web page generation skills or instructor approval.

ITSE 1311 Beginning Web Page Programming Covers hand coding Javascript.
Prerequisite: IMED 2315 or IMED 2415.

ITSE 2302 Intermediate Web Programming Prerequisite: Basic web page generation skills or instructor approval.

ITSE 2313 Web Authoring Will focus on current topics in the Multimedia / Web field. Topics will alternate each semester. Check the class schedule for current topics. Currently they will be XML and Cold Fusion.
