Associate In Arts Degree With An Emphasis In
Arts and Technology

Available only at Richland College in conjunction with The University of Texas at Dallas

This is an “Articulated Emphasis” degree with the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).

 Degree Code:  AA.UTD.ARTS.TECH

 Students who complete this degree with a GPA of 2.50 with no grade below that of "C” and who meet all admissions requirements at UTD will be accepted into UTD’s Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Technology.  Students should follow this plan only if they wish to transfer to UTD in Arts and Technology.  Students wishing to transfer to another university should not assume this entire plan will transfer.

In order to be eligible to receive this AA degree, a student must:

1.  Complete a minimum of 66-68 credit hours indicated in this plan.
2.  Earn a grade of "C" or better in English 1301, either Speech 1311 or 1315, and Math 1414 or 2342
3.  Receive a GPA (2) of at least 2.00 ("C");

[Note: UTD guarantees admission with a 2.50 GPA with no grade below a "C"]
4.  Meet all Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards and course prerequisites; and
5.  Complete 25% of the degree requirements at Richland College.

 

Students who plan to transfer to UTD must work closely with an advisor.

Students completing this degree must submit to UTD a completed Texas Common Application within 12 months of their anticipated enrollment at UTD.

 

**This Associate of Arts degree requires 66-68 hours, 54 of the 66-68 hours can be applied to the BA in Arts and Technology Degree requirements at UTD.
