Digital Forensics

Coverage of Data Forensic Investigations

chart

Cyber security and Forensic investigation is based on the solid understanding of the underlying technologies that allows data storage in diverse media formats. Investigation of cyber crimes and ensuring corporate data protection also requires the understanding of application behavior. While network forensics is a sub-discipline of digital forensics, dealing with evidence that passes over a computer network, it is an ever evolving field that is anticipated to be a common component of trial cases in the near future. Those trained for digital forensic investigations are more detail oriented, better understand the technology, and employable not just as investigators but as data recovery professionals as well. As our chart shows, digital data forensics has a wide area of coverage. Our graduates will be able to apply the core forensic competencies of data acquisition, protection, storage while analyzing digital data.
