Career Service offers a variety of Career Assessments/Computerized Evaluations that assist individuals with determining a Career that may best suite their interest. These computerized Guidance programs act as assistants for students who are uncertain about which career/major and industry would be a better choice for them… The systems offer in-depth information on thousands of occupational fields as well as educational institutions offering programs of study selected by the students.

DISCOVER is a comprehensive computer program that will help you with career planning. Whether you want immediate up-to-date information or help with creating a complete career plan, DISCOVER will meet your needs.

Learn about Self and Career The first part of this program helps you consider what you like to do, what you do well, and what you may value in a job. You may take any or all of the three inventories at the computer in multimedia format (or enter your scores from the paper/pencil format) and DISCOVER will then suggest job families (groups of occupations) on ACT's World-of-Work Map for you to explore.

Choices is an easy-to-use, comprehensive career exploration and information system. The Choices databases of occupations, post-secondary schools, and financial aid awards provide many choices for you. Individuals approach career decision-making from different perspectives. You may have a specific career area in mind, or you may be looking for information about a number of occupations.

The Guidance Information System (GIS) is designed to be the centerpiece for a comprehensive career planning program in a school. GIS is an electronic retrieval system for locating facts about colleges, professional schools, occupations, military careers, and scholarships. It contains accurate and up-to-date information on over 1,000 occupations, over 3,000 colleges and universities, and over 1 million dollars worth of financial aid. With the help of GIS, users can explorer all the possibilities with expedience, accuracy, and ease.

SIGI PLUS pronounced "siggy plus" is a very special tool that can help you to plan your career. Developed by a team of researchers and specialists at Educational Testing Service, SIGI PLUS (System of Interactive Guidance and Information PLUS) is one of the most advanced career guidance systems available. It combines the unique capabilities of the computer with thoroughly researched information about occupations, work-related values, interests, skills, educational programs, and more.
