The overarching purpose of Technical Education Advising is to provide students with individualized comprehensive service regarding the following majors: Business, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems and Richland College Technical Education programs.
Comprehensive Advisement Services include:
- • Degree planning and registration for Business Transfer, Computer Science and declared Technical Educational degree or certificate seeking students.
- • Specific information on Richland’s Technical Education programs as well as general college transfer information.
- • General assessment of prior learning from CBE, CLEP, APL (Assessment of Prior Learning.) Articulation with four-year institutions as well as information on inverted degree plans.
- • TSI/Assessment score interpretation, suspension / probation student advisement and referrals as needed (to financial aid, special support programs, Testing Center etc.)
