Sep 16 Victoria Claflin Woodhull Blood Martin Victoria Claflin Woodhull Blood Martin was the first woman to run for President of the United States. Her platform was free love and suffrage, which may be why she is not in most history books. Victoria rose from poverty to wealth and prestige in Anglo-American society. She took her entire, contentious family to England where she entertained the Prince of Wales at her historic manor house which is now in the National Trust. In her lifetime she was both infamous and famous. She was surely naughty. Presenter: Dr. Barbara Montgomery, author and teacher with two Fulbrights
