Graphic Design

Graphic designers are a must in today's marketplace. Print media is still the number one source for advertising. Graphic designers develop skills through training to meet the needs in all areas of communication arts, desktop publishing, Web design, and multimedia. Graphic design uses include identity (logos and branding), web site, publications (newspapers, magazines, and books), advertisements and product packaging. Design and composition is one of the most important features of graphic design. Possessing and refining your two-dimensional design skills will enhance the designer’s ability to develop a strong presence in print, as well as on the Web..

Length of Training

The program Students will need to complete 100-160 hours of course work. This program
provides a comprehensive foundation for 2-D graphic design, and may be completed in a
minimum of two semesters by attending day, evening, and/or weekend classes.

Suggested Prep Courses:

  • Keyboarding (must type at least 20 wpm)
  • Computer Basics & Windows
