Engineering Program Wins Tech Titans of the Future Award

Richland College's Engineering transfer program was awarded the first annual Tech Titans of the Future Award during the Metroplex Technology Business Council's fifth annual Tech Titans Awards ceremony held in August, 2005, at the Eisemann Center in Richardson (announcement, award picture). The Tech Titans of the Future Award “recognizes educational programs designed to address the gap in the student pipeline in technology disciplines and/or educational programs between technology businesses and educational institutions whose purpose is to provide qualified graduates to the technology industry.” The award included $5,000 for scholarships, which will be awarded to qualified students pursuing the Associate in Sciences degree with an emphasis in Engineering at Richland College(article).
