Horticulture Department



DEACTIVATION NOTICE

The Richland College Horticulture program will be deactivated effective January 2008.  Although new students will not be able to file for a degree or award, as a current horticulture student you will have to the end of the Fall 2012 semester, to complete your degree.  Important dates and information you need to remember:

November 20, 2007

Last day for a student who has taken horticulture courses prior to or during the Fall 2007 semester to file a degree plan.  Note:  Without a degree plan on file with the college, you will not be able to earn your Horticulture Associates degree or Certificate.

January 2008 – May 2009

Full schedule of Horticulture courses will be offered.  Following the Spring 2009 semester, Horticulture courses will only be offered on a per demand basis and there is NO guarantee a course will be offered again.  Students should focus on taking Horticulture courses during this time period.

It is strongly recommended that you meet with an advisor to develop a customized track to meet your individual needs.  Please contact a Technical Advisor:
