Campus closings and/or delayed opening procedures



  1. Richland employees can call the Inclement Weather Hotline at 972-238-6912 between 5:15 - 5:45 a.m. * the morning they suspect a closing.
  2. Closing information will be available via television or radio.
  3. The Richland College homepage of the website will also be updated. You can visit www.richlandcollege.edu for the latest inclement weather update.
All departments are encourages to establish a phone tree within your department for supervisors to call their employees to notify them of a closing -- departmental phone trees could alleviate a large volume of calls into the Inclement Weather Hotline system.

* Please DO NOT call outside of this window since other campuses are using the same system and overloading the phone system could occur if calls are received outside this window of time.
