"Ready Made" Learn the Library Assignments - We have designed three fun “library practice” assignments. These assignments will give your students experience in using important library materials and in conferring with the reference librarians, or experience in learning to use the online library catalog, or experience in learning how to locate articles from the subscription electronic databases. We update these assignment every spring (or sooner, if something changes). We can e-mail this assignment to you as an attachment for you to have printed for your students, or you can ask for a copy at the Reference Desk. These assignments are better than those “library treasure hunt” assignments that are often found in textbooks and which never seem to work very well in our library. If you are teaching ESOL we have designed a “library practice” assignment with the special needs of ESOL students in mind.
