Reference Service - Reference service is the assistance that the librarian gives a student who comes to the reference desk asking for help. The librarian will assist the student in locating print or electronic information on whatever the particular topic happens to be. These services are available to all library users. Please encourage your students use the services available at the reference desk. Librarians are always happy to help, will direct students to the best sources and will save them much time. The reference desk is located on the main level of the library at the south end of the reference area. Students who need assistance from home can call the Richland Library reference desk at 972-238-6082. Questions that do not require an immediate response can be emailed, or an inquiry may be sent to the DCCC service "Ask a Librarian."
