Management Mission Statement

Students completing the Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) degree in Management, after analyzing and interpreting information, will be able to make sound management-related decisions that successfully apply theories, concepts, and interpersonal skills, both individually and in group settings, to impact organizational effectiveness.

The Richland College Management Program teaches students the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to insure their success as they function proficiently as managers or supervisors in any profit or non-profit organization.

Richland College's Management Program will prepare you for an exciting career as a 21st century manager. Every company in literally every industry needs well-educated highly motivated supervisors and managers to help achieve organizational goals.

Whether you're a seasoned manager, a new manager, or simply would like to become a manager, this program can meet your educational needs. Our management classes can help you develop real-world skills by using the latest techniques in quality management, team building, decision-making, employee motivation, and human relations.

Our program is unique because you will receive a total of 12 college credit hours from the cooperative-education component. This will allow you to tailor your college education to your present position by applying different management techniques to your current job. As you accept more responsibility and new challenges, your visibility at work will be enhanced, and you'll become more valuable to your organization.
