Student Development Council Mission Statement

The Richland Student Development Council (Financial Aid, Disability Services, Enrollment Planning, Testing Center, Student Programs and Resources, College Police, Upward Bound, Project SOAR, and the Health Center) provides student-centered services so students may have easily accessible post-secondary education and be successful in their endeavors.

The Richland College Police Department provides community policing in a collaborative effort between the police and the college community. Their goal is to identify problems of safety and security and involve the college community in their search for solutions to campus safety concerns.

The mission of the Dual Credit program is to provide an opportunity for qualified high school juniors and seniors to enroll in college courses that earn both high school and college credit through academic partnerships that provide a seamless transition from secondary to post secondary education, involving close collaboration between high school and college educators, on-going communication, and planning for an integrated program of study.

Adult Resource Center Helping Increase Enrollment (ARCHIE)

The Adult Resource Center supports the unique needs of the adult population as they prepare for careers in technical/occupational fields.

Richland College Admissions and Student Records personnel provide the community, students, and college employees all services and functions necessary for the support of student enrollment services. We also deliver comprehensive information needed to facilitate the application, advisement, enrollment, and graduation of all students.

Academic Advising

The Richland College Academic Advisors create meaningful advisor-student relationships that enable students to develop and achieve their educational goals.

The Richland College Financial Aid Office connects students with programs that provide financial support to enable them to attend college. To this end, the Financial Aid Office ensures the application process is student-centered, efficient, and effective.

The office of High School and Community Relations serves Richland's external and internal communities by providing awareness opportunities, developing bridge programs designed to encourage partnerships with schools, business and industry, and the college, and serving as an information and problem-solving conduit for the community.

The RLC Upward Bound program provides support to participants in their preparation for college entrance in order to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education, enroll, and graduate from institutions of post secondary education.
