A video describing Richland College's partnership with three other U.S. colleges and universities and Kien Giang Community College, located in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, won first place in a national competition.

If approved by the State Board of Education, up to 400 high school juniors and seniors (200 in each class) can complete their last two years of high school at Richland College by taking college courses and earning college credits with a focus on mathematics, science, or engineering beginning Fall 2006.

Starting this fall, students will have two opportunities at Richland College to broaden their understanding of people of African descent and their role in the shaping of America: Earn an Associate of Arts Degree with an emphasis in African American/Black Studies, or complete the Basic Program in African American/Black studies which can be applied to any field of study.

Richland College has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious 2005 Texas Award for Performance Excellence by the Quality Texas Foundation.

Richland College will host the Parkland Health & Hospital System's 3rd Annual Men's Health Conference on Saturday, June 11.

Richland students will notice a difference when they make photocopies or print information beginning with the summer I semester: prices are dropping to 5 cents per page, and new laser printers and copy machines are coming to college computer labs. They will be connected through a common online payment station.

Officials from Richland College and the University of North Texas signed an agreement Wednesday that will make it even easier for Richland students to transfer into UNT's computer and electrical engineering programs.

The Theatre Department of Richland College proudly presents "The Wizard of Oz" (children's version), a clever and entertaining dramatization based upon the timeless L. Frank Baum classic adventure story of young Dorothy, who finds herself lost in the strange and magical Land of Oz.

On April 23, Richland College will be jammin' to the sounds of the islands, mon! Experience the unique melodies of steel drums at the second annual Carnival of Steel music festival at Richland College, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the east side of campus.

Take time for yourself with a Swedish massage. Richland College's Massage Therapy Center offers affordable massages by student therapists. A one-hour session only costs $25. Massages are available through April 17.
