RICHLAND COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS SIGN ENGINEERING TRANSFER AGREEMENT
Officials from Richland College and the University of North Texas signed an agreement Wednesday that will make it even easier for Richland students to transfer into UNT's computer and electrical engineering programs.
Students from Richland, one of seven locations in the Dallas County Community Colleges, who successfully complete an Associate in Sciences with an emphasis in Computer/Electrical Engineering will be able to transfer a block of 66 credit hours into the UNT Computer Engineering degree or 63 credit hours into the UNT Electrical Engineering degree. Under the agreement, Richland engineering students who maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 in transferable hours will automatically be admitted into UNT’s College of Engineering.
The agreement with UNT is the second engineering transfer plan Richland has made. In February 2004, Richland signed an admissions agreement that will allow Richland students who desire to pursue a degree in electrical engineering to transfer to the University of Texas at Dallas.
