Richland College has a state-of-the-art wellness, athletic and recreational facility. This 3000+ square foot fitness center overlooks the beautiful Richland Lake and is equipped with more than $100,000 worth of high-tech fitness equipment, featuring the premier VR2 Strength Systems by Cybex.

Credit and non-credit physical education activities are offered. This combination of facilities, programs and courses makes the Health Fitness Center an excellent choice for campus and community participants. Our friendly staff will happy to orient you to the proper use of the high-tech equipment and assist you in developing a workout program based on your particular wants and needs.

Richland College is de-commissioning the pool, so the pool will no longer be available to Fitness Center members.

NEW Hours of Operation

7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Monday through Thursday
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Friday

The Fitness Center will be closed on the following dates:

September 2 & 5 for the Labor Day Weekend
November 24-25 for Thanksgiving
December 23 through January 2 for Christmas/New Years and New Floor Installation
January 16 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
March 1 & 2 for District Conference Day and Faculty Professional Development
March 15 & 16 for Spring Break
April 6 for Easter Weekend
May 28 for the Memorial Day Weekend
July 4 for Independence Day

Fee Structure

NO CHARGE

  • Richland credit students enrolled in a Physical Education course and employees that are participating in the DCCCD Wellness Program. View a complete listing of credit Physical Education courses being offered.

$20.00 per Month

  • Anyone not enrolled in a credit Physical Education course may sign up to use the Fitness Center through our Continuing Education program at a cost of $20 per month. This includes students enrolled in other credit or non-credit courses as well as community members not enrolled at Richland. Senior Community members age 65 and over are encouraged to join our Silver Ducks credit program where you may be eligible for a tuition waiver.
