What is SPAR?
SPAR is Your Resource for Student Involvement!
Richland College Student Programs and Resources (SPAR) welcomes you! SPAR is the department which is responsible for the extra and co-curricular activities of the college campus. We offer you a wide variety of culturally diverse programs and services which are designed to promote the success of your educational goals. SPAR schedules programs which compliment and enhance your classroom learning process. In addition, we provide many unique educational experiences which go beyond the traditional classroom instruction.
SPAR plays the unique role in your educational process by providing you with opportunities to see, hear and meet local and international speakers, writers, musicians, artists, poets and performers. We hope you will make the most of your college career at Richland by taking part in all of our programs. Our programs and activities will encourage you to gain new perspectives, meet fascinating people and share in many multicultural experiences.
The SPAR Office is located in El Paso Hall (E040) next to the Student Lounge. The Brazos Gallery (C140) and the Student Lounge are located by the Cafeteria near the center of the campus. These SPAR facilities seek to create a social environment that is both pleasant and conductive to your educational development. SPAR Office hours are 8:30a.m.- 5:00p.m. Monday - Friday.
