After a 15-day break, the Richland College basketball team are gearing up to continue their 2007 season. With only a matter of days to prepare for their return, they defeated Southwestern Adventist University Jan. 6, 98-68 and lost to Paris Junior College Jan.3, 66-37.

Men's Basketball -- Dec. 11, 2006
The Richland College basketball team suffered a loss against the Hill College Rebels on Dec. 9. With 26 seconds remaining, sophomore power forward/center Nick Morey sunk a three pointer which put the T-Ducks within three points of the Rebels. In the last seconds, the T-Ducks didn't come through and lost 54-62.

Men's Basketball -- Dec. 7, 2006
The Richland College basketball team evened out their record at six on Dec. 6 after defeating Paul Quinn College 90-62. The T-Ducks had a full seven days off from playing ball, which ultimately affected their start to the game.

The Richland College men's basketball team pulled off a win against Soutwestern Christian College on Nov. 28. With six seconds remaining and the game tied at 76, sophomore shooting guard, Jerry Dancer tipped in a shot attempted by freshman forward Brent Creacy to give the T-Ducks the 78-76 victory.

Both of the Richland College men's and women's soccer teams are bringing home national titles after conquering their opponents in the National Junior College Athletic Association's national tournament on Nov. 11-12.

A no-score game against Cedar Valley College led to a 3-0 overtime victory for the Richland College Lady Thunderduck soccer team. This win earns them the Metro Athletic Conference Championship title and advances them to the district tournament held at 4 p.m. on Nov. 4 at Richland.

Richland College's men's soccer team accomplished another victory on Oct. 21, this time against Northern Oklahoma College with a final score of 3-1. The Thunderducks' record stands at 11-2-1 with one conference game to go.

The Thunderducks are proud to announce sophomore Lewis Lee was named to the 2005-06 All-American Team as an Honorable Mention selection. Lee finished the 2005-06 season leading the Thunderducks in 14 statistical categories, including points (552), rebounds (257) and steals (42). He finished the season with a 62.8 field goal percentage, while leading the Thunderducks in field goals attempted (357) and made (224).

The Lady Thunderducks moved to 3-3 this season after outlasting the Ranger College Lady Rangers, 30-28, 30-20, 26-30, 20-30, 15-12, Friday night at Guadalupe Hall on the campus of Richland College.

Men's Baseball-- Saturday, May 28, 2005
The Richland College Thunderducks baseball team is headed back to the NJCAA Div. III World Series after an 11-2 win over Eastfield College in the finals of the NJCAA District C Tournament.

Richland is the three-time defending national champion. The Thunderducks will head to Glens Falls, N.Y. on Thursday, May 19 for the tournament which begins on Saturday, May 21 and goes through Friday, May 27.

Men's Baseball-- Saturday, May 28, 2005
Richland College is proud to announce that redshirt freshman Josh Walter was named NJCAA Div. III 1st Team All-American for 2005. Walter finished the 2005 season leading the Thunderducks with a .356 batting average, 21 doubles, 69 RBIs and tied for the lead with 11 homeruns.

The Lady Thunderducks head coach Michael Murphy was named NSCAA National Junior College Coach of the Year for the 2004 season. The ceremony was held January 14, 2005 in Baltimore, MD.
