T-Ducks collect All-american honors. Congratulations to Of- Travis Latz (first team), 1B- Jon Masch (first team), and Phillip Clinard (second team) for being selected as NJCAA all american for 2008.

T-Ducks finish 3rd in the 2008 NJCAA World Series. With the score tied at 2 in the 9th inning, Richland (47-16), committed 4 errors that let to a 7-2 loss to Gloucester, NJ.
5/11- T-Ducks Punch their ticket to the NJCAA 2008 world Series
5/11- Richland College (45-14), won the District C Tournament this weekend
to earn a berth in the NJCAA World Series that will be held in Tyler, Texas
starting Saturday May 17th. Richland went undefeated in the tournament beating
North Arkansas 12-3 on Friday, Eastfield College 6-1 on Saturday, and Tyler
Junior College 12-3 on Sunday. Richland will enter the World Series hitting
.392 as a team on the season with 105 Home Runs. Head Coach Joe Wharton, in
his 11th season at Richland, will be taking his team to the Series for the
7th time. They won the crown in 2002, 2003, and 2004. This follows finishing
National Runner up in both 1999 and 2000.

Richland ends season as Co- Champions, and advance to the four team Regional playoff that will be held in McKinney Fri 5/9-5/11. The winner will advance to the NJCAA World Series that will be held in Tyler, TX 5/17-5/22. This is the first conference championship for the ducks since 2004.

Richland sweeps northlake as the bats came alive over the weekend. Scores of 11-0, 11-1, and 22-12. The Ducks finish the regular season with a overall record 42-14. Coach Joe Wharton has had three teams over his first 10 seasons that recorded over 40 wins, and all have advanced to the NJCAA National Championship Game.

Richland drops two out of three at Tyler J.C. Richland had the lead twice in game one and lost in extra innings 7-6. Richland won game two by the score of 4-1 behind a great pitching performance from Landon Patterson. Richland had a lead of 7-2 in the fifth inning in game three, but the bullpen couldn't hang on and the ducks lost 14-7. The Ducks dropped to 39-13 on the year and will face Northlake in the final series of the season this coming weekend.

Richland beats Midland College 5-2 to run it's overall record to 38-11. 1B/OF Travis Latz hit his 17th Home-Run of the season to break the single season record here at Richland. He is also hitting .447 on the year. The ducks will travel to Tyler this weekend to take on the Apaches in a big three game series.

The Ducks got on top of Grayson Co. early and held a 4-0 lead into the late innings, but dropped it in extra innings 6-4. Richland committed 5 errors in the game.

Richland Keeps on rolling beating Texas Wesleyan twice 5-3 and 7-3 to move there current winning streak to seven.

Ducks continue to roll after pounding D1 Northeast Texas 13-3 and 14-2. The ducks hit their 80th home run of the season and raised the overall average to .403. Richland runs its overall record to 35-10.

Richland swept Mt. View this past weekend winning 15-4, 16-11, and 18-2 to gain sole possession of First Place in conference with six games to go.

Richland Completes three game sweep with a 29-1 pounding to move into second place in conference only 1/2 game out of first. Sophmore Jon Masch went 12-14 on the weekend with 4 doubles, 2 triples, and 3 Home Runs. Masch is Hitting .444 on the year and the Ducks are hitting .404 as a team.

The Ducks improved to 30-9 over the weekend and ran thier winning streak to eight games. The Ducks have have 62 Home-runs only through 39 games. The school record is 70 set back in 1999. Richland will take on Navarro J.C. today at 2pm here at Richland. Navarro is currently #7 in the country division 1 and have a record of 32-6. Navarro beat Richland 10-8 back on 3/17.

Richland looking to keep momentum going in hosting Eastfield college this upcoming weekend. The Ducks are hitting .388 on the season and are averageing over 11 runs a game.

The Ducks traveled to Grayson Co. on Monday and jumped out to a early 6-0 lead, but couldn't hang on dropping to the Vikings 12-10. The Ducks overall record dropped to 22-8.

Ducks sweep Brookhaven in a three game series, winning 7-3, 10-0, and 8-4 to extend there conference winning streak to six.

Ducks fall to Division 1 powerhouse Navarro 10-8. The Ducks out hit the Bulldogs 15-10, but a 9th inning rally fell short in the loss. Richland to face Brookhaven this weekend in a big conference series.

Richland swept Nothlake this past weekend winning 16-0, 6-1, and 17-3. The ducks are hitting a very impressive .402 on the year. Freshman Josh Christenson is hitting .536 with 7 home runs, and Travis latz is leading the team with 8 home runs.

Head coach Joe Wharton picked up his 400th career win in Richlands 6-1 victory over Northlake today. In his 11th year at the helm of Richland's baseball team, he has a overall record of 401-217.

T- Ducks finish off the Northeast tournament by pounding Ranger 19-4 so improve to 15-4 on the year. Sean Ablett, Travis Latz, and Justin Keithley all homered for Richland

The ducks 12 game winning streak came to an end on Friday as the T- Ducks dropped a pair of games losing to Panola 15-5, and to Northeast in a close one 5-4. the Ducks will play Ranger tomorrow at 1pm before heading back home to host Murray State at home on tuesday 3/4 starting at 1pm.

T-Ducks pound Mountain View winning the three game set 11-5, 19-2, and 25-9 to improve to 14-2 on the year and sit alone in first place in conference. Richland is hitting an iimpressive .423 and has scored ten or more runs in 12 of the 16 games played. The Ducks travel to Mt. Pleasant to play in a tournament this Friday.

Richland's winning streak reaches 9 as the Ducks beat Northeast Texas 4-1 on the road to improve to a school record start at 11-2. Freshman, Josh Christenson, led the ducks with 3 hits and Freshman, Casey Mayfield, tossed a complete game to pick up his 3rd win of the season.

Bats stay hot as the Thunderducks beat Hill 10-3 on Monday. Richland piled up 14 hits, 5 being home-runs. Freshman, Landon Patterson, picked up the victory allowing 3 hits in a complete game win. Josh Christenson had 2 home runs on the day.

Duck swept Cedar Valley to take sole possession of first place in conference in dramatic fashion this weekend winning the 3 game set 22-8, 10-0, and 25-7. SS Robert Barbosa went 15-18 on the weekend, as the Ducks are htting an impressive .422 on the young season.

The T- Ducks pounded Murray State College on the road 12-1 and 17-2 to improve to 6-2. Coach Wharton is excited about the sucess to the early season. "This team has a chance to do some really good things down the road if we continue to improve. It's a fun team to coach and they have a lot of talent, but they need to remember that it's a long season and we've got to keep working."

#5 Richland wins opening conference series at Brookhaven winning 12-1, and 10-5, but dropped the 3rd game of the series 5-1.

"Matt Spade sign's with the St. Louis Cardinals"-- Left Handed Pitcher Matt Spade, signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. Matt will leave today for Jupiter Florida to report to minor league camp.

Former Pitcher Josh Walter who pitched for the Ducks in 2005 and 2006 was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 47th round of this years amature draft. Josh pitched last season at Texas State University.
