The Richland College Thunderducks beat Lamar State 56-43, which now gives them a 1-3 conference record.
Sophomore shooting guard Dwight Gentry scored 24 points, sinking three consecutive shots above the arch in the last minutes of the game to give the T-Ducks a demanding lead.
Gentry shot 69 percent from the field, making 5 out of his 8 attempted three-pointers.
Sophomore leading scorer Nick Morey contributed fourteen points and 9 rebounds.
The T-Ducks ran a full-court man-to-man press, which ultimately killed Lamar's pace of play.
