A no-score game against Cedar Valley College led to a 3-0 overtime victory for the Richland College Lady Thunderduck soccer team. This win earns them the Metro Athletic Conference Championship title and advances them to the district tournament held at 4 p.m. on Nov. 4 at Richland.

Two sudden death overtimes led to a trade off of penalty kicks, where the T-Ducks netted three shots to Cedar Valley's zero.

Cedar Valley shanked two of the penalty kick shots while Goalkeeper Courtney Bishop saved one.

Karina Davila, Ashleigh Joseph and Juana Garcia each made shots for the T-Ducks.

The T-Ducks will face the winner of the Rochester Technical and Community College and College of DuPage game held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 2.

Rochester is ranked third in the nation and defeated DuPage earlier in the season.

The winner of the district tournament will advance to the national tournament held on Nov. 10-11 in Herkimer, N.Y.
