Montgomery GI Bill Recipients

*** Processing time during peak periods may take up to 30- 45 days within our office.***

* All GI Bill recipients must complete the following: *

  1. Establish a RLC VA record (A record is required for all VA students)
  2. Requesting certification: Submit your Tuition Account Summary after payment arrangements have been made. Submit every term you desire benefits.
  3. Changes in enrollment / attendance/ participation. Please submit to the VA Office within 2 weeks of adjustments.
  4. Monthly Verifications (Only required for CH 30 and 1606.)

New Students to Richland College using RLC Degree plans (Transfer or New to college)

  1. Application for GI Bill (apply online GI Bill )( Download Paper form)
    NOTE:
    VA 22-1990 form is for Active Duty members, Reservist and Veterans.
    VA 22-5490 form is for Dependents and Spouse of the Military member.
  2. Apply for Financial Aid (recommended) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. *
  3. Apply for Admissions
  4. College Entrance Exams (if required)
  5. An Official Degree Plan must be on file. The Degree Plan request form is currently available in Admissions and in the VA Offices.
  6. Transcripts must be turned into the Admissions Office
  7. Register for classes - For new DCCCD students. Returning DCCCD students please go to Econnect - To register and pay for classes

Concurrent /Supplemental enrollment (Official Degree Plan is located somewhere else other than Richland College , but taking classes hosted by RLC)

  1. Make sure our Admissions office has your current information. Email addresses and phone numbers changes can be made online at eConnect.
  2. A Parent Institute Letter must be on file from your home institution

Returning Students to Richland College (previously attended at RLC)

  1. Make sure our Admissions office has your current information. Email addresses and phone numbers changes can be made online at eConnect.
  2. Register for classes that applies to your Official degree plan on file (http://econnect.dcccd.edu/econnect/st/stmenu.html)
  3. Requesting certification: Submit your Tuition Account Summary after payment arrangements have been made.
