Non-Credit ESL Courses

ESL courses offered through Continuing Education assist students in improving their English skills for the workplace and in social situations. They are presented in three formats: individual courses, intensive fast track courses, and special skills courses.

• Individual courses:


• » are offered with an integrated skills approach;
• » meet four hours per week for eight weeks; and
• » are offered at nine proficiency levels (essential skills through advanced).

• Intensive, fast-tack courses:


• » are offered with an integrated skills approach;
• » meet either three hours a day for two weeks or two hours a day for three weeks; and,
• » are offered at nine proficiency levels (essential skills through advanced).

• Special skills courses:


• » focus on specific topics such as conversation, accent reduction, or test preparation.
